Get to know me...

If there is one thing you need to know about me, it's that I wear many hats. For the first 18 years of my life, I played high-level competitive baseball, which forced me to travel all around the United States, playing hundreds of teams, meeting tons of people, and making a few friends along the way. During that time, every second of my life was dedicated to sport, and it wasn't until I graduated high school and ended my career that I started to branch out creatively. Since then, I have become a traveler, photographer, videographer, writer, and dabbled in a little politics (found out that wasn't for me lol).

While I simplify myself into the term "creator" or "creative," I would say a better descriptor of me is "collector." Every piece of work, thought, or action I can take is the reflection of the habits and culture that I consume — and I take a tremendous amount of pride in the taste that I have cultivated. I love Quentin Tarantino, Hitchcock, and Wes Anderson, although my favorite movie all time is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I've watched over a hundred different anime, including One Piece (those who are aware know how tedious this is), Full

Metal Alchemist, Naruto, and many others, but I would have to say my favorite is Frieren. I've listened to hundreds of albums by hundreds of different artists and have found joy in genres like Grunge, 80s and 90s Alternative Rock, Alternative Hip Hop (specifically MF Doom), Psychodelic Rock, and Folk Country (if you want to see everything I listen to, scroll to the bottom :). If I had to say my favorite artists of all time, I would say: Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Tim Hill, Dijon, and the Beatles. I've traveled to 19 different countries across 5 continents, and tasted every food imaginable. Right now, I'm in the middle of a huge sandwich obsession, and I have come to the conclusion that the best sandwich on earth is the Caribbean Roast from Un Bien in Seattle.

While that covers most of my immediate tastes, it doesn't cover who I take the most inspiration from. While it has changed drastically over time, I take a tremendous amount of inspiration from Rick Rubin, Anthony Bourdain, Casey Neistat, a lifestyle creator called CemeteryF0g, and most of all, my amazing friends.

*Now that I'm reading this all back, I sound incredibly basic, but everything that I mentioned is popular for a reason, so I stand by that!!*

Most of my current work comes from art forms that I was exposed to from a young age. Almost all of my content is recorded on the same camcorder that my parents used to record my sister and me when I was younger, and I have had a camera in my hand since I can remember. Honestly, one of the hardest things for me to do was to switch from taking photos on a camera to taking photos on my phone, but I feel like I have gotten the hang of it now.

In the last couple of months, I have started a new chapter of my life. In December, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. My dream is to create something that changes the world. Whether that be through my personal content, or through working for a company or agency, I don't care, I just want to leave the world a better place than I found it :)
